What are HOA Membership Dues used for?

HOA Dues are used for maintaining recreational areas (playground, courts, docks etc) that are not covered under MSBU guidelines. 

What are MSBU funds used for? 

Common area maintenance that excludes recreational areas. Insurance, landscaping, irrigation repairs, entrance lighting, electricity and water all fall under this category.

Is the HOA mandatory?

No, however there are many benefits in being a part of it. Funds help to maintain and improve the recreational areas.  Membership also provides voting eligibility.
