What are HOA Membership Dues used for?

HOA Dues are used for maintaining common areas (playground, courts, docks etc) that are not covered under MSBU guidelines. 

What are MSBU funds used for? 

Common area maintenance that is not used for recreational purposes. Insurance, landscaping, irrigation repairs, electricity and water all fall under this category.

Is the HOA mandatory?

No, however there are many benefits in being a part of it. Funds help to maintain the common areas and  in maintaining home values. Membership also comes with voting eligibility.
